Miller Analogies Test
The Miller Analogies Test (MAT) has been used by universities worldwide to test the analytical skills of graduate school candidates for more than 50 years.
How to Schedule an MAT
Follow the steps below to take the MAT through APU’s Testing Services. You do not have to be an APU student to take the MAT through Testing Services:
Step 1
Schedule your exam and pay the proctoring fee using our online scheduling system. The $30 proctoring fee (nonrefundable, nontransferable) is in addition to the $60 credit/debit MAT exam fee that you will pay at the Testing Center on the day of your exam. Your appointment is not confirmed until the proctoring fee is paid. If you do not pay your proctoring fee within 3 days of your appointment, your appointment will be canceled.
Step 2
Use these resources to prepare for the MAT.
Step 3
On your test day, bring two forms of identification: an unexpired driver’s license, passport, or government-issued identification card AND a library card, student ID card, credit card, or utility bill showing the same name and address as your driver’s license, passport, or government-issued ID card.
Step 4
Bring with you the address or score recipient code for where you want your MAT score report(s) sent. After you have completed your MAT, you will be given a preliminary score report. The official score report will be sent to your designated score recipient(s) about 2-3 weeks after your exam date. For more information, visit the MAT website.
