Careers for Pre-PT/OT Graduates

Both doctors of physical therapy (DPT) and occupational therapists are considered essential professions, and, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, are both expected to see a job market increase of more than three times the average growth rate for all jobs by 2028.

What’s the Difference Between a DPT and an Occupational Therapist?

DPTs require a doctoral degree to practice, and their primary goal is to improve patients’ body movement and help them manage pain. Occupational therapists require a master’s degree and help disabled, injured, or ill patients improve and maintain skills to perform everyday activities.
