Additional Requirements
- Candidates must have completed or be in the process of completing a master’s degree.
- While program coursework satisfies the educational requirements for BCBAs, candidates receive this designation only upon passing the BCBA exam. Visit the Behavior Analyst Certification Board website at bacb.com to learn more about certification requirements.
- A behavior analyst is certified by the BACB after passing the BCBA certification exam. To sit for the exam, a candidate must apply directly to the BACB and provide evidence of having a master’s degree or higher, completion of 315 classroom hours of graduate-level instruction in the specified content areas established by the BACB, and completion of 2,000 hours of supervised independent fieldwork in behavior analysis. Azusa Pacific does not provide this supervision.
