John J. Dobrenen, MA

John Dobrenen, MA, began his teaching career in 1971. He was a high school teacher for more than 35 years prior to joining APU’s Department of Biology and Chemistry. Aside from teaching at Glen A. Wilson High School, he coached football, track and field, and baseball. For Dobrenen, teaching is also a ministry and he seeks to integrate faith into his biology classes. He received his bachelor’s degree from Biola University and his master’s degree in biological sciences from the University of California, Irvine.
