Biography

Denzil Barnett, MEd, is an adjunct professor in the American Language and Culture Institute and the Department of Global Studies, Sociology, and TESOL. Barnett has taught academic English in Japan, China, and Haiti, and is passionate about equipping international students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to thrive in an increasingly globalized world. His areas of interest include developing intercultural communicative competence and sensitivity in himself and others; professional and organizational development; and enhancing faith, diversity, and students’ academic writing skills in higher education.
