The APU Libraries have made a number of cooperative agreements to allow APU students, faculty, and staff to borrow materials from other academic and public libraries.
Atla Reciprocal Borrowing Program
The Atla Reciprocal Borrowing Program creates an arrangement between participating Atla Institutional Members and Affiliate Candidate Libraries to grant check-out privileges to each other’s patrons/students. A patron/student walks into a participating library, shows proof of current enrollment at another participating library, and checks out materials based on its local lending policies.

Inland Empire Academic Library Cooperative (IEALC)
IEALC is a cooperative arrangement between 17 academic libraries in San Bernardino, Riverside, Los Angeles, and Orange Counties. It allows students to visit and borrow materials from participating libraries. Students must show their APU ID card and an IEALC card at the participating library in order to borrow books. This service is not available for faculty and staff. Apply for an IEALC card online.

Southern California Theological Library Association (SCATLA)
SCATLA is a cooperative arrangement between 18 theological libraries in Southern California. It allows graduate theology students and theology faculty members to visit and borrow materials from participating libraries. A research consultation is required in order to obtain a SCATLA card, and users must show their APU ID card and a SCATLA card at the participating library in order to borrow books. Statewide California Electronic Library Consortium (SCELC)
SCELC is a cooperative arrangement between 83 libraries throughout California. It allows faculty members to visit and borrow materials from participating libraries. A research consultation is required in order to obtain a SCELC card, and faculty members must show their APU ID card and a SCELC card at the participating library in order to borrow books.
