Advancement Via Individual Determination (A.V.I.D.)

Within the A.V.I.D. program, Azusa Pacific University students serve as tutors and mentors to Azusa middle and high school students through small-group tutorials. A.V.I.D. is an elective course that enhances learning for B- and C-average middle and high school students, helping them learn to think critically and improve their writing skills.

APU tutors support the A.V.I.D. program in the Azusa Unified School District, in all three Azusa middle schools (Center, Foothill, and Slauson), and two local high schools (Azusa and Gladstone).
