You and your family* are invited to experience Welcome Weekend at Azusa Pacific University! Led by the Office of Campus Life, Welcome Weekend includes fun, informative, and meaningful events for all incoming students (first-year and transfer) and their guests.

*Family includes parents, siblings, and any other guests attending Welcome Weekend events to support their APU student. Welcome Weekend is optional for family.

Welcome Weekend and Housing Check-In

  • Welcome Weekend check-in begins at 2 p.m. at Bode Commons on East Campus on Friday, January 6.
  • The Office of Residence Life, located in Engstrom Hall, opens at 9 a.m. for housing key distribution.
  • APU Now gives you quick access to key student resources and includes everything you need to start thriving at APU. Connect with other new students, find your way around campus with a digital map, and keep track of your Welcome Weekend schedule all in one place.

Health and Safety

The health and safety of the APU community is a top priority as we plan for Welcome Weekend. APU continues to work with local and state partners to ensure a safe campus environment.

Parking Directions for Move-In Day

Students moving into University Village and the Shire can park in the parking stalls in those areas as they move in. Students moving into Adams Hall, Engstrom Hall, or Trinity Hall can park in either Lot D or Lot A. Refer to the parking section of the APU online map for directions to those areas.

Stop by the Campus Safety office in Adams Hall to register your vehicle or bicycle, sign up for a gate opener for University Village or University Park, or get further information on parking or safety. The Department of Campus Safety is excited to welcome you to APU!

Food Allergies and Special Dietary Restrictions

Dining Services prides itself on providing high-quality and nutritious cuisine to meet the wide variety of dietary needs within our diverse APU community. We offer support for students with food allergies and specialized dietary requirements. Bon Appétit, our food service provider, can meet with you to discuss food options available in each of our venues. See our website for more information or email diningservices@apu.edu. Students with highly specific or complex needs should contact our Accessibility and Disability Resources office at disabilityservices@apu.edu as soon as possible to learn more about what accommodations are available, and whether these will meet their needs. A required meal plan can be petitioned only for medical reasons. If you have a medical condition that you believe may keep you from maintaining a required meal plan, refer to the steps in Special Dietary Requests (PDF).
